Cari, one of our Soul Companions, has a deep desire to see others experience God’s peace and health in all areas of life. She believes our emotional, relational, spiritual and physical health are all connected and interrelated, and she brings this holistic perspective to each person she encounters.
Cari has completed the Foundations of Biblical Counseling program offered by the Christian Counseling and Education Foundation’s School of Biblical Counseling (www.ccef.org). This comprehensive course of study has prepared her to walk alongside others through life’s varied challenges, pointing them towards God’s hope, healing and guidance. She is currently continuing her education towards a masters degree in counseling at Westminster Theological Seminary.
Earlier in life she studied Food Science and Nutrition, earning both Bachelors of Science (1999) and Masters of Science (2001) degrees at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. She spent her early career working in nutrition communication before focusing full-time on raising her children. Together her education and life experiences have given her a perspective of the whole person and have grown her desire to meet others right where they are in their journey toward health and wholeness.
She is married to her husband, David, and they have four children. She loves spending time with her family, taking long walks outside, cooking and reading.
