Eric is the Adult Discipleship Pastor at Monte Vista Chapel, a part of our ministry team, since 2015. He oversees the Adult, Children’s, Youth, and Marriage and Recovery ministries. Eric is a hometown Turlock guy who traveled to Southern California to attend Biola University after high school where he earned his Bachelors of Arts degree in Social Science and minored in Biblical Studies. It was during this time he felt called into full time Pastoral ministry which he began in 1999 in Valencia, Ca. After years of helping grow a young church into a well-established staple in that community, Eric began his Masters of Divinity degree in 2013 at George Fox Seminary (now Portland Seminary) and transitioned back to Turlock in 2015. He earned his Masters of Divinity degree in 2016 with an emphasis in Pastoral Care and Theology.
Eric’s passion is very much around the shepherding and care of the soul. With studies and training in Pastoral Care and counseling, Spiritual Direction, and Inner Healing, Eric considers Pastoral counseling an honor and privilege to engage in with people who are struggling or hurting. Whether it is hurts or hang-ups, traumas or tensions, he believes God’s desire is for growth and healing of these areas which will allow us to live into our most true selves as beloved children of God.
Eric is married to his wife Heather, and they have four children together which means they have a very loud and busy household!
ERIC IS NOT TAKING NEW CLIENTS AT THIS TIME.
